Remove four screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Use a spudger to pry along the center seam of the mouse.

Open the outer casing of the mouse.

Remove the wires from the white crimp headers in order to separate the upper and lower housing units of the mouse.

Take a cotton swab and lightly remove any dirt or debris around the pin connections of the scroll wheel.
