Remove the twenty 15mm Phillips #1 screws from the shell of the hoverboard.

Remove the shell.

Remove the four 8mm Phillips #1 screws holding down the black plastic casing.

Lift off the black plastic retaining bracket.

Pull the battery upward lightly to remove from the device.
