If you need to replace the optional second, hot swappable battery in your Hamilton-T1 ventilators, follow this guide. The hot-swappable battery is a secondary battery that provides power to the Hamilton-T1 ventilator when the standard primary battery runs out of charge or there is no external AC/DC power source available. This is a simple replacement to swap out the old battery with a charged battery. There are no tools involved.

Use the handle on the left side of the front panel to pull the cover off.

Locate the metal lock clip above the battery on the left-hand side.

Turn the metal lock clip to the left and all the way up.

This will allow access to the battery.

Pull the white tab on the end of the battery to pull it out of the slot.

Insert the replacement battery by holding onto the white tab and sliding it into the empty slot.

The Hamilton Medical logo needs to be facing up.

Turn the metal locking clip down and to the right, until it forms a straight line.
