The drive shaft is essential and may possibly have a stripped gear, causing the blade not to turn. There are several steps in order to take this out and replace it. Beware of lubricant along the bottom of it.

Unscrew the cover by turning it counterclockwise.

Grab the scraper by the midsection to remove.

Carefully remove the blades by lifting them off of the blade shaft.

Rotate the bowl counterclockwise to release it from the base.

Using the metal spudger, remove the four adhesive plastic covers that hide the screws.

Remove any excess glue that is adhered to the screws with the precision tweezers.

Using a JIS #1 driver, remove the four 10 mm screws.
