This guide will instruct you on how to remove and replace the battery. If the battery doesn’t hold a charge a replacement may be necessary.

    • Turn off and unplug the laptop.

    • Flip the laptop so that the backplate is exposed.

    • Remove the eight screws with the T5 Torx screwdriver.

    • Using the plastic opening tools carefully lift the backplate.

    • Remove the 4 screws holding down the battery with the Phillips #1 screwdriver.

    • Disconnect the 3 wires connected to the battery.

    • Tweezers may be needed to disconnect the wires.
