Every teardown starts with a few simple steps, finding the screws you need to take the cover off. Without that, your stuck.
Turn the Notebook over, and remove the battery. (after shutting it down and unplugging it)
Along the bottom surface there are 13 screws fastening the lower case to the upper keyboard component. (including the DVD tray screw)
In the External Battery compartment, there are two more screws under the lip the battery fastens along. Remove these.
Remove the rubber feet on the black hinge covers at the back of the laptop, remove the two hidden screws. There will also be one screw fastening the covers under the battery segment as well.
You can now remove the hinge covers.

You are NOT done yet. There are two more screws on either side of the hinges. one silver that looks like it holds the hing the case. These fasten the steel hinge to the keyboard layer as well. Remove them. 4 screws total.
With that, with some spludgers, or guitar picks... popping the retaining fastener loose easily with some care.
Note, it may help to ensure the screen is tilted back almost as far as it can go if the back edge of the keyboard 'sticks'.
Lift gently, THERE WILL BE RIBBONS AND CABLES that are 'fiddly'.

By now you should have also removed the DVD/CD tray. It should slide out easily if you got all the screws in the earlier step. There are at least 2 screws that need to be removed here along the trim.
Flip Laptop bottom down.
