The front panel is removed to access the inner components and is a precursor to RAM, hard drive, keyboard, and screen repair. It is difficult to do because the front panel is very firmly secured and will require a lot of time, strength, and patience to remove.

    • Before you remove the battery, make sure the laptop is powered off.

    • Slide the black battery latches inward to remove the battery.

    • Underneath each rubber foot, there is a screw.

    • Flip the laptop back over. Then, with the laptop open, move the plastic prying tool around the top cover to pry it from the enclosure.
