There are 12 phillips head screws which need to be unscrewed before removing the backplate of the laptop.

Next, use a size PH1 Philips head screw driver to remove the screws.

Then, use a prying tool to help uncouple the backplate.

Finally, use both hands to lift up and take off the back plate of the computer.

The fan is located here. You will need to remove three screws in order to lift the fan out from the motherboard.

You will need a Phillips 00 size screwdriver to remove the screws.

Use your screwdriver to remove the three screws connecting the fan to the motherboard.

Grab the fan with your hand, and lift up and away from the motherboard.

Grab the fan power connector by the wires and pull directly away from port until the cable is disconnected.
