This repair will require a new paper tray, for replacement. Printer and parts can be found at https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-envy-5.... This replacement should be the fastest and simplest part to repair on the HP Envy 4520.

Flip the printer upside down so that the paper tray is located at the bottom of the HP Envy 4520 is accessible.

Pull paper tray towards the front of the printer.

Press the clips on the right and left side of the printer simultaneously. Slide in your new paper tray. You are all set to print!

Where can I buy a paper tray for HP envy 4520 printer. The link to the HP store does not allow me to select a paper tray as a buyable part. The HP forums even state that this part cannot be bought separatly.
Try eBay. That where I got mine
