The toaster no longer switches off. Normally it would take at least 80 seconds and up to 300 seconds.
A capacitor needs to be replaced.

I dont know. It was not my toaster and i have no better pictures. Are you sure that the ic is broken? What´s your problem with your toaster?
https://dertoaster.org/toasterreparatur....
Perhaps it is the 8a2511, but I am not sure. Please check the connetcions first. You can get this ic from a lot of toasters with 3 buttons. Look for an broken toaster with 3 buttons at the e-waste.
I'm sure it's short circuited but the IC has the serials erased.

Thanks for this information! I have the same toaster and need to replace the diodes listed at D1. Can you advise what values are required?
Hi Angus,
it is an 1N4007 Diode. But I think that de IC is also broken when the diode ist broken. The AC could destroy the IC.
Look at this datasheed and the typical electrical use in a toaster. https://www.digikey.ca/en/htmldatasheets...
good luck and give me a feedback. www.dertoaster.org
Danke Andreas!
Hi Andreas: I replaced the 1N4007 diode and the toaster worked for about 5 seconds before the capacitor blew! Any idea what's up?
Hi Angus, okay, just an idea!
The heatingwire is shortet > the voltage on the board is to high > First check the resistenc of the heatingwire an calculate the watt. Compare it with value of the producer writen on the toaster. Then check the AC 12V on the board. Be careful!!!
Perhaps you can go to an Repair-Cafe in your town.
