If your Garmin Smartwork 50 LMT has trouble powering on, holding a charge, or shows battery warnings, you may need to replace the internal battery using this guide.
The battery connects directly to the mainboard, so this repair can also help if the device shuts off unexpectedly or only works when plugged in.
The steps are simple, but be gentle when opening the case to avoid damaging internal cables.
Before you begin the repair, power off the GPS and unplug the charger.
