I fixed this microwave by replacing the door open switch (there are three identical switches, 2 for detecting the door is open, and 1 for when the open door button is pressed) Replacing the later fixed the problem but I would suggest replacing all 3 as they are the same.
I would like to talk to the person who designed this to still work with the door open, what a bad failure mode.

Unplug the microwve

take out the rotating dish

Remove 2 black screws from right bottom, 1 from left bottom and all 6 SS screws from back holding top on

Pull top back releasing from top edge

Unplug the wires going into the bottom switch that is activated by pushing the button to make the door open

Remove the switch

Push the little tab below the switch in towards the heating area

pivot the switch down (pivots on the pin on the top right)

Pull the switch out
-
Plug in the new switch before installing (the replacement switch terminals were a little thicker then the old one, I used pliers to force the switch onto the wire connectors)
