Due to excessive use or damage, the efficiency of the solar panel will slowly decrease over time. Once that time has come, this guide will aid you on replacing a damaged or inefficient solar panel using the existing power cord.

Open the case by pulling the back tab toward you in a downward motion.

Unscrew the two Phillips #2 5mm screws that hold the power cord in place.

Use the flat-end of the spudger to pry off the clamp which holds the cord down.

Use the soldering iron to melt down the solder on each terminal by holding the tip of the iron against the solder until it becomes liquefied.

Gently pull the leads free from the terminals. If they do not easily separate from the terminals, repeat Step 4.
