Pry off the faucet cap with a spudger.

Unscrew the knob with either a Phillips or a flathead screwdriver, depending on your faucet.

Remove the knob from the faucet.

Use a wrench to remove the nut from the faucet stem.

Use a paper towel to soak up any excess water in the area where the stem was located.

To replace the new stem, simply push it down into the hole.

When the stem is installed, screw in the nut over the stem with pliers.
