Internal issues to the flatiron may be solved by replacing the motherboard. Failure of LEDs lighting up or failure of the heating plates may be solved by replacing this.

Remove both hinge covers on each side of the flat iron.

Using Philips head #2 remove the 7 mm black screw that was underneath one of the hinge covers.

Using the metal spudger, push through the hole the screw was removed from. Doing this will push the copper pin out of the other side.

When the pin is removed the two sides of the device can now separate.

Using Philips head #1 remove the 6 mm black screw that was underneath the spring as well as the 6 mm black screw next to the heating plate. Remove the panel the screws were holding down.

Using Philips head #1 remove the two 4 mm silver screws on the sides of dial panel cover.

Using Philips head #00 to remove the 4 mm silver screw on the dial. Remove the dial with your hand.

Remove the covering panel by pulling up with your hand.

Remove three 3 mm sliver screws #1 from the motherboard.

Use your hand to life the motherboard out of the flat iron.

Desolder the two white, one red, and one black cables from the mother board to remove all connection to the flat iron.
