If your Dyson V8 Animal’s brushbar fails to sweep up dirt or dust, use this guide to replace the brushbar. The brushbar sweeps up dust or junk by rotating its bristles when the vacuum is powered on. A broken or faulty brushbar will fail to rotate or sufficiently sweep up dust.
Before using this guide, inspect the brushbar to make sure it is not just jammed or tangled. Simply untangling the brushbar will sometimes fix the issue.
No special skills are required for this guide.
Before beginning, make sure to turn off the vacuum and disconnect it from any external power source.

Did that but brush still will not spin.
I can't remove the brush, it springs outwards but keep firmly attached to the "axis". I've also tried to remove the transparent cover, by removing all the screws I've found on it (6 in total) but seems impossible. Can anyone please post a step by step guide about how to dissemble the whole brush bar??
I’m saving my Pennys for the “coin tool”. It does seem hauntingly familiar however….
I am unable to insert a coin into the slot provided. No problem previously
Dyson V8 Animal - all of my 3 powered brushes will rotate freely, but will not power up. New battery, filters, cleaned all components and connections. Getting 21 volts at all connectors, but still no go.
