Parts: (in order from left to right)

Short Screws

Door knob with peg and screw holes (inside of the room)

Door knob with screw holes (outside of the room)

Face the inside of the knob, you should see two Phillips head screws on either side of the central knob.

Remove the door knob on both sides of the door.

You will see the latch face plate (the rectangular piece of metal) where the latch of the door knob is located.

Unscrew the two short screws on the latch face plate.
-

-
-
Remove the latch face plate and latch mechanism.
-

-
Push the new latch mechanism with latch face plate into the door.
-

-
Screw in both short screws of the latch face plate.
-

-
Insert the door knob that goes on the inside of the room, aligning the peg and screw holes with the threaded cylinders of the latch mechanism.
-

Align the door knob that goes on the outside of the room, aligning the peg and screw holes with the threaded cylinders of the latch mechanism.

Screw in both long screws on both sides of the door knob.

Turn the door knob to test your work.

Gather your tools: A new doorknob set, drill, screwdriver

Unscrew the screws on the recent knob and once unscrewed you may know take out the knob from the door.

Takeout and install the new latch: Unscrew the latch assembly and remove the latch mechanism from the door. Then insert the new latch into the hole making sure it is facing the right way.

Next you will be placing the exterior knob on the outside and the interior inside and will secure the screws.

Check if the latch properly works and make sure the door open and closes.
