Many have said it is difficult to fix a charge port for a few reasons:

Tiny pins.

Lack of tools

Destroying pads

Here is a step by step that should work with most devices to help make the job easier.

Disassemble to get to motherboard of device, wrap with kapton tape to avoid damaging any other components. Take heatgun and heat old port

While holding the port with tweezers or other holding tools, heat the port evenly until the connections melt.
Lift the charging port from the pads.
