This guide shows how to replace the speakers in the Dell Vostro 5510.
The speakers allow sound to be played out directly from the laptop. If the audio being played begins to crackle or no sound is played when the volume is turned up, the speakers should be replaced.

Place the laptop so the bottom cover is facing upwards.

Remove the remaining (M2x4mm) screws with the screwdriver.

Loosen the two captive (M2x7.5mm) corner screws with the screwdriver.

Pry open the top left corner of the cover with the opening tool.

Pry open the top right corner of the cover with the opening tool.
-
Pry the rest of the cover with the opening tool, working in a clockwise motion until it is completely loosened.

Lift the cover to remove it from the rest of the laptop.

Unscrew the corner and top middle screws (M2x3mm) from the battery with the screwdriver.

Remove the 4 mm screw from metal plate above the right-side speaker using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Disconnect the orange cable securing the speaker cords gently using tweezers.

Push the thin white clip back using your finger to release the blue cable.

Disconnect the thick blue cable gently using tweezers.
-

Disconnect the thin blue cable by gently pulling with tweezers.
-

Pull the left speaker up using your hand.

-
Pull the right speaker up using your hand.

Lift the thin cords from under the cable and other components to disconnect them using your hand.

Pull the white part of the box connecting the speaker cords to the computer using your finger.
