This guide will help you replace the hot plate of the Cuisinart DCC-1100. Please have a replacement hot plate ready for the installation and unplug the machine before beginning work.

Remove the coffee pot and place the coffee maker upside down.

Remove the five 1.6mm Phillips #1 screws from the bottom panel.

Remove the two 1.6mm Phillips #0 screws from the retaining bracket on the heating element.

Remove the retaining bracket and allow it to hang off of the heating element.

Remove the hot plate from the heating element.

I have broken many expensive glass carafs for my cuisinart coffeemaker and finally purchased a cuisinart thermal caraf.
I do not need the hotplate to heat, so what do I do to stop the heating process?
I imagine I would need to remove one of the attached lines to the heating element, yes?

Hi, Thanks for sharing this information. I have an older Krups coffee maker that still works great but the hot plate is warn. I cannot seem to find a replacement plate for any Krups coffee maker models. Any suggestions? Thanks!
