This guide is meant to assist the reader with the proper steps to remove and replace the touchpad of the Compaq Evo N1000v device.

Remove the 6 screws as shown in the photo.

Push the front of the laptop upwards as the photo shows.

Rest the front end piece on the keyboard area.

Unscrew the 4 screws as shown in the photo.

Unplug the cable as shown in the photo.

Unlock the second cable shown in the photo by using the pointed tweezers to move the lock upward on both sides of the cable.

Unplug the cable you have just unlocked.

Remove the gray, metal case surrounding the touchpad.

Remove the touchpad.

Repeat these steps in reverse order to install the new touchpad.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
