    • Open the panel door , take out the Brew Group (BG) and wipe out the area. This area does get bugs if theyre nearby! This compartment stays warm and bugs love it so wipe it out and make it unattractive. Pull out that little bottom tray in the picture and clean under the machine.

    • This dumb thing somehow gets dirty, use a pipe cleaner. Get a bunch for $2 on AliExpress. The beige plastic open-top side mechanism is the problem. Your coffee goes through it, so spend time cleaning it out. You wont see the residue unless you look from the top down into the opening.

    • The advanced #2 video referenced above puts grease all over the BG and youll need to fix that later when coffee gets in the grease.

    • The ONLY PLACE you need to lubricate is around these yellow circles. They are the only places that drag AND DONT USE TOO MUCH. Here is how: Look for the small "dig-out" gap in the circle, push grease in there. Then moosh grease on rest of the circle, ONLY WHERE THE YELLOW MEETS THE BLACK. Move the device back and forth like in video #2 at 16:00.

  6. Cleaning a Saeco Brew Group - Best Techniques, Clean out the grinder chute with tissue paper: crwdns2935265:06crwdnd2935265:01crwdnd2935265:01crwdne2935265:0
    • The picture is an up-shot from the BG compartment bottom. The grinder shoots out powder and leaves residue on the chute. Use dry tissues covering a finger (Im sure we have all done something like this :>) and wipe out the inside.

    • You will not be able to see this area because it is down-facing and it is recessed. So youre sticking a finger up a hole and wiping away oily dirt and powder.

    • Its much easier to lean it away from the machine, match the rails to the BG and then tip it back up to flat before slidin g it in. See video

I only clean the BG every few years, not every week (as in the video and per the manufacturer)
