Canon Vixia HF R21 Battery Replacement

This guide is for the battery location and replacement of the Canon Vixia HF R21.

This guide may be necessary if your camcorder if experiencing any of the following: the battery is inserted incorrectly, the battery pack is incompatible with the camcorder, or the camcorder is dead.

    • Orient your camcorder upside down, with the model number sticker facing towards you.

    • Place your thumbs on the battery compartment.

    • Push down and forward on the square divot to open the battery compartment.

    • The compartment should now hang over the top of the camcorder.

    • Lift the battery cover towards yourself to open it.

    • Pull the battery out by placing your finger at the indentation and pulling towards yourself.
