Before beginning, be sure to have a replacement battery that is compatible with the camera. You will need to have a Canon LP-E8 7.4 Volt Digital Camera Battery.

    • Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera.

    • Hook your finger onto the compartment door latch.

    • Open the battery compartment door.
