Canon AE-1 Light Filter Foam Replacement

We are removing the old light filter foam and replacing it with new foam in your Canon AE-1. This will help keep light out of the inner case so that it doesn't wreck the film.

    • Open the film compartment by pulling on the release pin.

    • Use a 3mm slot screw driver to scrape old light filter foam cleanly off.

    • Then use Isopropyl Alcohol to assist in removing the old light filter foam.

    • Placing light filter foam improperly could result in light exposure on film.

    • Cut the new light filter foam to size so it can fit in the slot.

    • Place the sticky side of the new strip of light filter foam over old foams location.
