The earpiece broke on my CAT S22, but turns out it was just the connector!

Follow steps 8-9 on the teardown guide

Make sure you keep the screws separate! The inside 4 and outside 4 screws are 2 different sizes!

Also make sure not to touch the screen or the opposite side of the glass! Any fingerprints left will be locked in the case!

The three pins on the bottom right of the daughter board connect to the earpiece speaker, which is in 2 parts! The speaker part is on the plastic piece that was just removed. The pins that connect the speaker can get bent and not connect properly.

Careful! These pins are easy to break and could make this a very difficult repair if damaged, use gentle pressure!

Use a small flat head screwdriver to push the pins to the side and up and be very careful to use only the needed amount of pressure to raise them up slightly, they are very fragile and probably aren't far off from where there supposed to be!

if you have an even smaller screwdriver or similar tool you can probably pull up on it from the bottom of the pin (top of the 7 shape) but again remember to be super careful to not unravel it!!

These pins are a little easier, just try to get slightly under it with the screwdriver. Again this is easy to overdo so use slow gentle pressure

Now for the moment of truth! Clip back on the first cover and the screws, but leave the outside cover off for now. Call a friend and see if you can see them! If you can't one of the pins may still be having issues, just follow the tutorial again. If you can hear them then congrats! You're done!
