Remove the ear cushion using the plastic opening tool. Press the cushion inward and pry up.

Replace the ear cushion by pressing it down and on. It will latch into place like the original cover did.

Honestly, not a very helpful guide. Putting the new ones on is a struggle. There are 10 retaining clips around the edge of the cup, which the new pad's base/ring will clip into. I found it helpful to use a tool (guitar pick, in my case) to work around the perimeter of the new pad and push it under each clip in turn, but it's a bit of a struggle. You can sort of peel back the pad itself to get a clear look at the base and the clips.
