    • Make sure the phone is powered off before removing the trackball.

    • Gently use the Small Flathead Screwdriver or plastic opening tool to go under the chrome ring surrounding the trackball.

    • Pry the chrome ring upwards with the tool until it begins to lift up.

    • Once it begins to lift up, gently remove the chrome ring from around the trackball.

    • When re-assembling the phone, be sure to orient the chrome ring so that the missing tab is at the top.

    • Slowly remove the small plastic bottom using the Plastic Opener tool. Be careful not to bend the metal frame when removing the bottom plastic piece.

    • Using your hands, remove the white plastic piece, revealing the small metal frame, the scroll wheels, and the trackball.

    • Slowly remove the trackball, being cautious not to scratch the ball or the scroll wheels.

    • Using a soft cloth, carefully remove any dust around the scroll wheels or the trackball itself.

    • While the trackball is removed, you may clean the sensor in the hole where the trackball is usually located.
