Bissell Power Force Helix Vacuum Belt Replacement

The vacuum belt supports the rotation of the brush roller to assist in picking up dirt. Sometimes vacuum belts break, either due to an incorrect installation or simply from wear and tear. It is recommended to replace the belt every 3-6 months.

Use this guide to replace a belt on a Bissell PowerForce Helix Bagless Upright vacuum, Model 2191.

Before you begin, make sure to unplug the vacuum's power cord before disassembling anything.

    • Remove the five 8 mm screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • Remove the black and blue vacuum panels.

    • Unhook the brush roller from the vacuum, along with the belt.

    • Locate the metal pin in the top left corner of the vacuum.

    • Loop the replacement belt around the metal pin.

    • Hook the belt over the notch on the brush roller.

    • Pop the brush roller back into place.
