Follow these instructions to remove and replace the cutting blade, either to sharpen a dull blade or replace it entirely.

Grab the plastic housing at the end of the spark plug wire.

Pull firmly to disconnect the wire from the spark plug.

Lift to raise the front end of the brush cutter.

Use a 13/16" socket to remove the bolt securing the blade.

If needed, wedge a wood block between the blade and the deck to prevent the blade from turning.

Remove the bolt and friction washer, and remove the blade.

Use a 3/8" socket or wrench to remove the four 21 mm bolts securing the top cover to the deck.

Using a 9/16” socket or wrench, make sure the bolt at the top of the spindle is tight.
