    • If the pad is missing completely, skip to step 3.

    • Remove the damaged pad by inserting the screwdriver under the pad and peeling it off the key.

    • Squeeze a dot of super glue into the empty key.

    • Quickly insert the new pad into the key, taking care not to smear the glue.

    • Using the screwdriver, press the pad down to secure it to the key

    • Hold the pad for 5 seconds to let the glue harden

    • Place a small piece of paper between the key and the instrument to avoid residual glue binding the key to the instrument

From my point of view it would be better to disassemble the key and clean it before gluing a new pad. The best glue in these cases is shellac
