If you are having trouble identifying what might be causing a problem on your flip book, it might point towards a faulty motherboard. This guide will explain all the steps required to safely remove the motherboard and all connections to it and replace it.

Remove the back 6mm and 8mm screws with a J000 screwdriver.

Remove the back cover of the flip book by gently using a metal spudger.

Unscrew the battery from the motherboard using a J000 screwdriver on the 3mm screws.

The battery comes attached to the motherboard and needs to be disconnected before you can remove it.

Disconnect the battery from the motherboard by gently pulling out the connection with tweezers.

Gently remove the Wifi cables hooked to the rim of the battery

The motherboard has various components connected to it that you will need to disconnect to replace.

Disconnect the components from the motherboard with tweezers. Refer to the images for which components need to be removed.

The connections highlighted in yellow are easily removed by lightly pulling, If there is tape on it, simply remove the tape.

The connections in red require you to lift up the white latch securing these connections. The white latch lifts upward easily, afterwards simply slide out the connecting cable.

The connection in orange is similar to the connections in red, except the black part is the latch. Like before, flip it up and slide out the cable.

Unscrew the 3mm and 6mm motherboard screws from the device using a J000 screwdriver.

Remove the motherboard from the device.
