If your Asus laptop is insufficiently holding a charge or having issues properly turning on or off, it may be time to replace the battery. Make sure that you replace the current battery with an Asus B41N1341 battery pack to avoid any chance of the laptop overheating or overcharging.

Got as far as the removal from wires. How is that done. A total newbie. I just lifted the battery slightly. Would this help with the static or do I totally need to remove the battery? Laptop shows battery is almost fully charged. There is not a green light.
Mine has no green light at first but after battery reaches full state it is there. However annoyingly flickers (screen and all) between charge state and discharging at full. Luckily seems to work fine across the whole range of charging. Can't believe this Q502LA is still holding on after 8 years :) Wondering if there is any battery drive/update?
