This guide will help you replace the hard drive in case of hard drive failure or wanting to upgrade it. Be sure to follow this guide in a well lit room on a flat surface. Acquire the necessary tools before hand and have a cup or a magnetic plate to keep track of all the screws.

Remove the ten 10mm Phillips #0 screws.

Use the iFixit opening tool to pry off the back cover of the laptop.

Remove the four screws from the hard drive bracket.

Remove the five 4 mm Phillips screws.

Pull on this black connector piece to remove it from the hard drive.

The second picture shows how things should look at this point.

Remove these two 4 mm Phillips screws holding the hard drive to the bracket. Repeat on the other side of the bracket.

Pull the HD from its housing.
