The CPU Cooler is one part of the many different components that combine to make this laptop into a fine tuned machine. Double check your part and make sure it is the CPU cooler and not the GPU cooler.

Push the slider until the battery is released from its socket.

First begin by placing the laptop on a hard flat surface.

Remove the nine 3 mm screws that secure the back panel using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Once the cover has been removed, locate the CPU Cooler to begin the replacement.

Remove the six 7 mm screws using a Phillips #1 and then use the pry tool to unplug the fan before removing the CPU Cooler.

Once all screws have been removed and the cooler has been unplugged, gently lift the cooler out of its compartment to install the new cooling fan.
