Using a plastic opening tool, pry the back cover off of the phone.

Remove the seventeen Phillips #000 screws from the mid-frame.

Pry off the mid-frame using a plastic opening tool, working your way around the perimeter.

Use a plastic opening tool to disconnect all of the cables on the motherboard.

Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the ribbon cable ZIF sockets.

Remove the motherboard from the phone.

Carefully pry up the battery with a plastic opening tool, or your hands.
