Windshield wipers are an important part of the car. When they start squeaking, scraping, or leave smudges on the windshield, it is time to replace them. It is recommended that you change your wipers every 6 months depending on weather conditions. The rubber part especially tends to dry out, crack, and come off of the wiper.
This guide demonstrates how to replace the windshield wiper(s) on your 2009 Acura TL.
Before you begin the repair, turn off your car and put it in park to ensure your safety as you work.

Lift the wipers so they are in an upright position.

Press the clips on each side of the latch.

Pull the upper part of the latch up.

Slide the latch down to reveal the J Hook.

Slide the blade upwards to detach it from the rest of the arm.

Open the latch of the new wiper.

Place the J hook into the opening.
-

Insert the top part of the curve into the small slot.
-
Slide it down into the slot until it is secure.

Close the latch.

Set the wipers onto the windshield and test them out.
