This guide will show you how to diagnose and fix the common issue with the 2004-2010 Toyota Sienna sliding door.
The repair is easy but patience is a must as you do not want to strip the screws.

First, test both sliding doors to identify the problem with the driver's side door
-
-
-
Remove the second-row seat to access the door panel
-
-
-
Remove the two Phillips screws holding the door panel in place
-
-
-
Carefully remove the door panel by lifting it out and disconnect the power window
-
-
-
-
Close the door and observe the actuator motor on the working passenger side door for comparison
-
-
-
On the driver's side door, test the voltage to confirm it's an issue with the actuator motor and not an electrical problem
-
-
-
Order a replacement actuator motor (Part #s in the video) and wait for its arrival
-
-
-
Remove the window regulator by lowering the window and accessing the bolts through the portholes
-
-
-
Remove the actuator motor by grinding off the stripped Phillips screws with a Dremel tool or using vice grips
-
-
-
Replace the actuator motor with the new part, using socket screws from wall sockets or light switches if necessary
-
-
-
Reassemble the window regulator and test the window function
-
-
-
Test the sliding door in manual mode and then in power mode
-

Great instructions! I was able to fix sliding door.
However, the window doesn’t scroll up all the way and it wiggles if you pull on it.
What did did I do wrong? Any suggestions are appreciated.
