Background and Identification
The Sharper Image DX-2 drone is a consumer-class drone and is quite inexpensive compared to other similar models. The DX-2 is the second model in the DX series. The other DX models include the DX-1. DX-3, and the DX-4. The Sharper Image DX-1 and DX2 models are stunt drones and are designed for aerial tricks rather than length of flight, whereas the DX-3 and DX-4 models are designed for aerial photography and videography.
Compared to the DX-1, the DX-2 is slightly better and has a wider range of communication. In addition, the DX-2 features autopilot and auto landing modes. This drone isn’t for photography enthusiasts however, as it does not come equipped with a camera. Both the DX-1 and DX-2 models are micro drones and do not have the space to attach a camera or a GoPro. On average, the DX-2 drone needs to be charged for at least 45 minutes to fly it for 5-7 minutes.
As of 2020, all drone models of the Sharper Image DX series have been discontinued.
