Background Information

The Toshiba Tecra Series of business laptops was released in 1996. The M2 model released in 2005 boasted an Intel Pentium M Processor, a maximum memory capacity of 2,048MB, 74.52 GB Hard Drive space, and a 14.1" screen. The Tecra M2 was praised for its small size and portability. The laptop retailed for modest $1,900 to on-the-go business professionals and tech savvy industry members. It measured 12.25 inches wide by 10.25 inches deep and slightly less than 1.5 inches thick, and it weighed just shy of 5 pounds. The standby battery life was about 4 hours, therefore it is recommend to bring an extra battery along. The image quality was bright and colorful enough and with a good enough range of brightness.

There are also many external ports such as, a volume dial for the headphone jack, a button to turn the Wi-Fi radio on and off, two PC Card slots, and a Secure Digital flash memory slot. For communication, it offers infrared, S-Video, modem, and Ethernet ports, a four-pin FireWire port, and two USB ports.
