Ryobi P515

The P515 is a model of Ryobi Limited’s ONE+ 18V Cordless Reciprocating Saw released in 2014. This cordless electric saw is intended for general purpose cutting, primarily wood, but includes plastic and metals. This device has a lock-off switch function to prevent unintentional start-ups. The saw also comes with the ability to effortlessly switch blades using Ryobi's "easy release blade lever" feature.

The P515SBNC kit variant/model comes with the same P515 saw, but includes the P197 18V Lithium-Ion Battery Pack and P118 18V Battery Charger. While these are not included in the tool-only package of the P515, this device is compatible with other Ryobi battery models such as the P100, P102, P103, P104, P105, P107, and P108.

The production and sale of the P515 and P515SBNC models have been discontinued by Ryobi and most major retailers for the updated PCL515B (and PCL515K1). Compared to the PCL515B, the original P515 can cut up to 3,100 strokes per minute (SPM) with a 7/8* inch stroke length, while the newer model can cut up to 3,400 SPM with a stroke length of 1 inch.

Though the product is discontinued, the model does still apply under Ryobi's 3-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.

The P515 is similar in appearance to other reciprocating saws and tools produced by Ryobi, sporting a light green and gray body. While similar to the newer PCL515B, the P515 can be distinguished by the lower placement and proportionately smaller size of the white text Ryobi logo, with a larger number of vents located above and below the logo. The P515 is bulkier in design with a heavier weight of around 4.6 pounds*. The P515 also does not feature a green colored rim and a pair of green square designs featured in the updated PCL515B model next to the "easy release blade lever".

On the opposite side (without the Ryobi logo) of the P515, a gray sticker is present with white text that designates the model as "P515" in addition to information regarding voltage, strokes per minute, and battery compatibility.
