Device Background
Released in 1994, the Panasonic RQ-2102 is a member of the Slimline device family that is no longer being produced. The device features one touch recording, a 3 inch speaker, and can even function using four C batteries or an AC adapter. In addition to these features, the RQ-2102 includes a three digit cassette counter that enables the user to keep track of timing when playing back tapes.
While there were not many different models of the RQ-2102 made, this device still remains popular among certain tech enthusiasts and collectors. The RQ-2012's sturdy build and its ability to record, as well as play back tapes, makes it a unique device for its time.
