Milwaukee 2722-21HD

The 2722-21HD is a reciprocating saw kit that is made by Milwaukee. The 2722-21HD includes all the necessary components to operate the 2722-20. The 2722-20 simply is the saw; it doesn’t include the compatible battery, blade, or rapid charger. The 2722-21HD allows its users to have everything they need to immediately use the reciprocating saw.  

Reciprocating saws are typically used for cutting through materials without worrying about precision. The 2722-20 can cut through different materials like steel, wood, nail-embedded wood, stainless steel, drywall, fiberglass, plastics, and some non-ferrous metals. When pairing this saw with the M18™ REDLITHIUM™ FORGE™ HD12.0 Battery, it makes 15A of power while producing more efficient cuts than other 15A reciprocating saws. The saw also includes other features such as a brushless motor and REDLINK PLUS™ intelligence that make it more optimal.

The Milwaukee 2722-20 includes the option to use orbital action that allows for more material like wood to be removed at the drawback of having more vibration which can hinder metal cuts. With its M18 battery, the 2722-20 is more flexible when it comes to operating locations compared to other reciprocating saws that need a cord. The 2722-21HD kit comes at a price tag of around $500 at stores like MaxTool and Home Depot.

The Milwaukee 2722-21HD reciprocating saw is similar to other models like the Milwaukee 2621-20 and 2720-20 which are also cordless saws and share a similar design and color. A way to distinguish it from the others is to look at one side where it says “SUPER SAWZALL” unlike the other two who have “SAWZALL”.  To confirm the model number, on the right side of the tool will be a label with “Cat. No. 2722-20. The tool itself is a smooth rectangular form with the bottom part extending past the grip for the battery placement. The grip and front where the blade is inserted is black, while the middle part is red with a white Milwaukee label.

The kit also comes with the M18™ REDLITHIUM™ FORGE™ HD12.0 (48-11-1813) Battery which is distinguished from the other M18™ REDLITHIUM™ batteries by its label that says “FORGE”. The battery itself is mostly black with an upper portion of it extending from the rest.

The last part of the kit is the M18™ & M12™ Rapid Charger. This charger is distinguished from other Milwaukee chargers by its label on the front which says “Milwaukee RAPID CHARGER”. The charger itself is mostly red with only the bottom being black.
