The Meltio M600 features blue laser diode technology, which offers distinct advantages over traditional infrared lasers for metal 3D printing. Blue lasers, operating at a shorter 450 nm wavelength, are significantly more efficient at interacting with reflective metals like copper and aluminum. This enhanced absorption results in better energy transfer, reduced spatter, and a more stable melt pool, which leads to higher-quality, denser parts with smoother surface finishes.
