Logitech UE Wonderboom 4 Repair

Ultimate Ears (a Logitech company) announced the Wonderboom 4 on June 26, 2024 alongside the Everboom, Boom 4, and Megaboom 4. It is the fourth generation of UE's ultra-portable 360° speaker line and the first Wonderboom to charge over USB-C, replacing the micro-USB port used by the first three generations. The generation also introduced a Podcast EQ mode tuned for vocal clarity, joining the existing Outdoor Boost mode.

The speaker is IP67 rated (submersible to 1 m for 30 minutes), floats, and is drop-tested to 1.5 m (5 ft). Two Wonderboom 4 units can be paired for doubled-up mono or true left/right stereo playback; the speaker is not compatible with PartyUp or with Wonderboom 1/2, Boom, Megaboom, or Hyperboom models. There is no companion app support and no microphone—all controls are on-device. Plastic parts contain a minimum of 31% post-consumer recycled plastic by weight.

The Wonderboom 4 launched at $99.99 but now retails for $79.99 and is available in Active Black, Joyous Bright, Cobalt Blue, Hyper Pink, or Sand.

The Wonderboom 4 is a squat fabric-wrapped cylinder with a rubberized top and bottom, large "+" and "–" buttons on the front, an elastic hanging loop on top, a multifunction "tree" logo button and power/Bluetooth buttons on the top surface, and an Outdoor Boost/Podcast mode button on the base. The USB-C port is the quickest way to distinguish it from the visually similar Wonderboom 2 and 3, which use micro-USB. The Logitech part number is printed on the regulatory label.
