The lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery is a variety of lithium-ion battery. Compared to conventional Li-ion batteries, it has a somewhat lower energy density and voltage, but has good durability and is significantly safer.
Some newer UPSes and electric cars contain LiFePO4 batteries.
Nominal voltage per cell: 3.2 V
Maximum charging voltage: 3.6 V
Discharge cutoff voltage: often 2.5 V
