Released in early 2021, the Yoga 7 14ITL5 is a convertible 2-in-1 laptop. Unlike normal laptops, the 14ITL5 features a 360-degree hinge, allowing it to function as a laptop or a tablet. Lenovo positioned this model as a mid-range option for their consumer base.

Consumer Reports testing noted that the Yoga 7 14ITL5 delivered fast speeds for normal tasks such as web browsing, word processing, and video calls. However, it was slower at heavy workloads like image editing or simulations. The display was rated very good, with strong viewing angles and contrast, while the build quality and ergonomics earned positive remarks for comfort and durability. Additionally, the battery life was reviewed as excellent, lasting well beyond a standard workday, and the keyboard received remarks for having large keys.

On Dark Moss models, the fingerprint sensor can be difficult to see, leading some users to mark its outline for visibility. Other reported issues include soldered RAM limiting upgradability, hinge wear after extended use, and battery degradation over time.
Additionally, the Yoga 14ITL5 supports both AES 1.0 and AES 2.0, allowing compatibility with both the Lenovo Digital Pen 2 and the Precision Pen 2.

A similar Yoga 7 model was tested by RTINGS, which reported good overall thermal and noise behavior. At idle, the keyboard deck temperature was about 84 °F (29 °C), and under load it was closer to 97 °F (36 °C).
