Background and Identification
The ThinkPad Tablet line is a series of business-oriented tablets developed by Lenovo under the ThinkPad brand, best known for its durable laptops. The first model, the ThinkPad Tablet, was released in August 2011 and ran Android 3.1 Honeycomb. It included features tailored to professional users, such as SD card encryption, anti-theft software, and stylus support.
Its successor, the ThinkPad Tablet 2, was released in October 2012 and switched to Windows 8 Pro. It supported full desktop applications and marked a shift toward Windows-based hybrid devices.
