The Lenovo ThinkPad T420si is a laptop manufactured by Lenovo. Released in February of 2011, it is part of Lenovo's ThinkPad T-Series line of consumer laptops. This line is Lenovo's flagship ThinkPad product, targeting businesses and professionals. The suffixes "s" and "i" designate the T420si as a "slimline" model with a lower-end CPU (being a second-generation i3, nicknamed "Sandy Bridge"), which distinguishes it from the more powerful T420 and T520 models. Windows 7 is the default operating system installed on the device.

The T420si shares many features and specifications with its sister model, the T420, yet differs in having USB 3.0 ports, which the T420 and 520 lack. Both T420 models were the first to introduce SATA III capability in the hard-drive slot, as well as SATA II in the mSATA/WWAM slot.
