Troubleshooting
Our troubleshooting guide contains help for some common issues.
Background
The Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 4 is the fourth iteration in Lenovo’s education-focused Chromebook line. It has a sleek, light-weight design for portability and runs on Google’s ChromeOS. It was released in February 2024. The 100e series was designed to be used by both students and teachers, with Google Classroom and Google’s “G Suite for Education” being included for free. The device also has rubber bumpers and reinforced ports, making it tough and drop-resistant for classroom environments.
The pricing of the Chromebook is around $300-$350. A common complaint of the device is its low ram, boasting only 4GB. A common praise of the model is its extremely long battery life, lasting up to 16 hours. There have been no recalls.
This device replaced the Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 3. The Gen 4 Chromebook introduced quad-core CPUs to the product line, as well as touch screen capabilities, a built-in microphone, and 4G LTE support. This device will be replaced with the Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 5, announced by Lenovo in January 2026, to be released at some point in the year.
